Announces Demo of SelectRefresh™ Data Replication Software at 2008 ASUG Annual Conference - Booth #2208 Broomfield, Colo., March 27, 2008 – The Software Division of MindWorks, Inc., a Colorado-based supplier of SAP services, has announced that it will demo its SAP data replication software product, SelectRefresh™ for SAP, at the 2008 ASUG Annual Conference. SelectRefresh for SAP replicates SAP business data at high speed from production databases as large as 20TB to non-production SAP systems. Learn more about SelectRefresh. SelectRefresh for SAP intelligently creates a subset of real-time data for use in non-production systems which include development, quality assurance and training systems. The intended market for the product is enterprise and mid-sized companies. Historically, IT departments have struggled to copy their full Production database to non-production systems, a process that can take hours or even days, given the massive size of these databases. Expensive staff is often tied up, and critical systems must often be taken off-line, significantly increasing data administration costs. “Today, storage and system management costs are typically four to five times the acquisition costs of storage hardware and software,” reports David Vellante, co-founder of Wikibon.org and a former Sr. Vice President at IDC. Proprietary AutoDiscovery™ technology used by SelectRefresh automatically interrogates the underlying table structure of a database – even identifying newer, user defined “Z tables” – before copying the structure to a client or target system. The table is then rapidly populated with data, creating a much smaller but accurate replica of the Production database. SelectRefresh can also execute an efficient full database copy. SelectRefresh for SAP reduces disk requirements, improves data integrity, helps to ensure successful upgrades and expedites the building of testing, development and training environments.
